Prince Harry Details His First Hunting Experience In Spare

But one particular story captured the attention of Eric Schiffer, the chair of Reputation Management Consultants. In Spare, Prince Harry detailed his first hunting experience and described it as the “ultimate blooding.”

According to the Duke of Sussex, he went on his first hunting excursion in Scotland with his guide named, Sandy. After shooting his first stag, Prince Harry said that Sandy bled it from the neck and slit open its belly. Sandy then asked Meghan Markle’s husband to kneel.

“My breakfast jumped up from my stomach. ‘Oh please oh please do not let me vomit inside a stag carcass.’ After a minute I couldn’t smell anything, because I couldn’t breathe. My nose and mouth were full of blood, guts, and deep, upsetting warmth,” he wrote (via Cheat Sheet).

After the ritual, Prince Harry revealed that he went limp before Sandy pulled him out. And while he was wiping his face, his guide told him to just let the blood dry out.

Prince Harry Could Lose Younger Supporters After He Shared His First Hunting Experience In Spare?

Prince Harry also said that he felt so much pride following his first hunting experience. But according to Schiffer, the Duke of Sussex could lose the support of Gen Z and millennial readers because they are animal lovers and advocates.

“That kind of rendition will be horrific and gruesome to many Gen Z who care about protecting animals. So, it goes against, in a mangled way, his desire to win the hearts and minds of Gen Z and Millennials when a not insignificant portion is big-time animal lovers and protectors. And for many, they will look at maiming an animal, however fast, as a serious question about who that individual is,” he said (via Newsweek).

Prince Harry Sold His Rifles, Stopped Hunting Because Of Meghan Markle?

But even though Prince Harry grew up hunting with his family, it’s a hobby that he was forced to give up because of Markle. According to Jane Goodall, the Duchess of Sussex did not like the idea of hunting because she was passionate about animals.

“But I think Harry will stop because Meghan doesn’t like hunting, so I suspect that is over for him,” Goodall said.

Three years ago, Page Six alleged that Prince Harry had already sold his expensive rifles because he doesn’t have any use for them. A friend of the anonymous buyer told the publication that the unnamed individual bought the rifles because he liked them and not because they previously belonged to the Duke of Sussex.
