Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have said a lot of things against the royal family. Several sources believed King Charles would still invite them to his coronation, but one royal commentator said the royal family hasn't reached out to them yet.
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Haven't Received An Invite To King Charles' Coronation?
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back from their royal duties in 2020 and relocated to Los Angeles, California. They rocked the boat with the royal family when they sat down for a tell-all with Oprah Winfrey in March 2022.
The royal couple didn't stop there and released their Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan. Prince Harry also dropped his memoir on Jan. 9, containing several intimate stories about his family.
Despite all the drama, many believed that the royal family would extend an invite to Prince Harry and Markle for King Charles' coronation. However, they haven't received an invite yet, and there's no progress toward reconciliation, People reported.
Royal expert Robert Jobson also said the royals haven't communicated to the Sussexes yet after Prince Harry said in his ITV interview that "the ball is in their court."
"There's not been much connection, even that [Archbishop of Canterbury Justin] Welby stuff is wide of the mark, there's a lot of guesswork going on," he said (via Newsweek). "My understanding is that there's been no real contact whatsoever, so I don't know where a lot of people are getting it from. I'm told that it's not the case."
"The last thing they'll want to be doing is having all sorts of reconciliation talks in the middle of a coronation. The world doesn't revolve around Meghan and Harry even if they think it does. They're focused on state visits to Germany and France and then the coronation."
King Charles Wants Prince Harry's Presence At His Coronation
Despite the lack of invite as of this writing, several sources said that King Charles wanted his youngest son around on his coronation day. However, an insider claimed that Prince William was not on board with the idea.
"Of course, Charles wants his son at the coronation. It is a pivotal moment in his life. He loves both his sons and wants Prince Harry there," an insider told Entertainment Tonight.
Another tipster told People the same thing — King Charles wants Prince Harry during his coronation.

"It is such a momentous occasion for Charles, and he would want his son to be at the coronation to witness it. He would like to have Harry back in the family," the source said.
"If they don't sort it out, it will always be part of the King's reign and how he has left his family disjointed. He has had a reputation as a distant parent, and it would be awful for him for that to continue."
