Prince Harry Was Very Close To This Royal Woman Before He Met Meghan Markle And Kate Middleton
Prince Harry shared a close bond with Kate Middleton years before he met, dated and married Meghan Markle. He was the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's third wheel. The three royals were even dubbed the royal trio because they were inseparable. In a previous interview, he also said Middleton was the sister he never had.
However, before Prince William married Middleton, there was a woman in the family whom Prince Harry turned to for advice when he needed input from a lady — his cousin, Princess Eugenie.
Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie's close bond is still evident until today. In fact, the pair were spotted at the Super Bowl LVI at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles Sunday. The Duchess of Sussex was noticeably missing during the sighting.
Also, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle still rent the Frogmore Cottage even if they are based in California because the property is their official residence in England. However, while they are away, the royal couple lets Princess Eugenie, her husband Jack Brooksbank, and their 1-year-old son, Jack, occupy their home.
Prince Harry And Princess Eugenie's Close Bond Over The Years
Royal biographers Carolyn Durand and Omid Scobie shared some details about Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie's tight bond in the book Finding Freedom. According to them, the Princess of York had always been "more than just a cousin" to Prince Harry they were also "the closest of friends."
"Out of all the Queen's grandchildren, Harry and Eugenie have one of the most natural connections. Like Harry, Eugenie is loyal, honest and great fun. The two had many nights out together in London," Durand and Scobie wrote, per People.

They added, "Harry had always confided in his cousin when it came to the women in his life. Not only did he trust her implicitly, but friends say that she gives great advice and has always been 'beyond wise' for her years."
Meghan Markle is also friends with Princess Eugenie and her now-husband Jack Brooksbank even before she met Prince Harry. When Markle appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in November, she shared how the four of them went incognito in Canada to celebrate Halloween with the crowd days before their relationship with the royal was made public.

"The four of us snuck out in Halloween costumes to just have one fun night on the town before it was out in the world that we were a couple," Markle said. "We were able to just sort of have one final, fun night out."
