Prince Harry is currently making it to the headlines amid a security row. It was claimed that the husband of Meghan Markle wants to bring his family to the United Kingdom for the upcoming memorial service in honor of his late grandfather, Prince Philip, and the Platinum Jubilee of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, this summer.

While it is public knowledge that Prince Harry’s relationship with the other members of the royal family is strained, there were reports that Prince Charles has been secretly communicating with his son in an attempt to end their alleged rift. The Prince of Wales even invited the Duke of Sussex and his family to stay with him if they visit Britain.

Now, new reports suggested that Prince Harry was “heartbroken” after the first audio venture of Archewell appeared to widen the gap with the royal family. Keep on reading to know more details.

Rift Between Prince Harry And Royal Family Continues?

Podcast host Rachel Bowie reported that the strained relationship of Prince Harry with the other members of the royal family has worsened after the release of the first episode of the Archewell-produced podcast that the Sussex pair recorded in December. Tom Brady, as Rachel noted, had highlighted Harry’s misery with the situation last year.

During an episode of her podcast, Rachel Bowie stated:

"Tom Bradby was saying that Harry is heartbroken by what’s going on with his family. That was kind of big story too. We know that the press operates with an invisible contract, that there is always this kind of give, push, pull kind of mechanism going on. So I thought it might be interesting to look back. This was all pre-Oprah, there was a lot of unknown to all of us while we were still kind of contemplating the separation when the Sussexes being here [in the US], we weren't vaccinated, there was a lot [going on]. I kept thinking about this that there was right after the first episode of Archewell.”

Tom Bradby, reportedly, stated that Prince Harry had been heartbroken by his situation with the royal family. It was reported that the Duke of Sussex and Meghan Markle are planning to visit the U.K. after Prince Charles extended an olive branch.

During Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s trip to Africa in 2019, Tom Brady spoke with the royal couple about their charity work. However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex also talked about the pressures they faced as members of the royal family, striking a balance between private life and public duties.

At the time, Tom Bradby said of Prince Harry:

“I think he [Harry] is heartbroken by the situation with his family, you don't necessarily need to have knowledge to know that, but I think it is true. Well, just the situation with the family clearly isn’t ideal and it has been a very difficult year for them all. To some extent I felt a little bit caught in the middle of them with that documentary which is a deeply uncomfortable place to be and that is, in a way, why I am always reluctant to say anything more because I don’t want to make anything worse or get in between anything or anything like that.”

The British journalist also divulged that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s departure from the royal family had been difficult for most members of the Firm. Tom Bradby furthered:

“It was a very psychologically complex project because they were clearly in a difficult position. I went thinking I was making a documentary about them sort of resetting themselves in public life, and it became increasingly apparent to me the depth of their unhappiness and that really what I was probably recording was likely to be their exit from public life.”

Most, if not all, followers of the couple can recall that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle felt unhappy with how the royal aides treated them when they seek support for the intense pressure they faced following their shocking interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021. Though the Duke of Sussex has returned to Britain alone twice since the infamous Megxit, he stayed less than a week in the country on both occasions.
