Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly attended Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi's vow renewal ceremony last month. The Sussexes have been friends with the former The Ellen Show host for years. In fact, even before Markle and Prince Harry tied the knot, the former already had a brief encounter with DeGeneres.

Following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's engagement, Ellen DeGeneres congratulated the couple on her former talk show and detailed her first encounter with the Duchess of Sussex. The funny woman revealed that she met Markle at a dog rescue center, and she was the one who named the Duchess of Sussex's rescued dog.
Markle also appeared on The Ellen Show shortly after she quit her royal duties. In the episode, the Suits alum and DeGeneres pranked some of the staffers at the latter's talk show.
Years later, Prince Harry, Markle, and DeGeneres managed to maintain their close bond. So, it wasn't surprising to know that the Sussexes were invited to witness DeGeneres and de Rossi's wedding vows renewal.

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Attended Ellen DeGeneres And Portia De Rossi's Vow Renewal
According to Brandi Carlile, who was also one of the guests at the couple's wedding, Prince Harry and Markle were good-humored people, and she had the opportunity to chat with them extensively.
"We talked to them for a long time — like British accents, talked about the angiograms. They just really felt like normal, decent, good-humored people. We just had a great chat. I'm not going to pretend that I haven't seen the hubbub, I've seen the hubbub, but I haven't paid very close attention to it," she told Entertainment Tonight.

Carlile also revealed that de Rossi asked her to sing "The First Time I Saw Your Face," and even if she was just a guest at the gathering, she couldn't say no to her friend.
"I was just an attendee and Portia was like, 'Can you just burst into the first verse of 'The First Time I Saw Your Face,' and I was like, 'Absolutely, that's what I do. So in front of like these mega celebrities, I just had to go at the top of my lungs, 'The first time...' and they were looking at me like, 'Does Brandi need some attention right now?' It was actually a beautiful thing to witness. We love them, they are our sisters," she said (via People).
