Sarah Ferguson Will Reportedly Talk About Prince Harry, Meghan Markle
The Duchess of York will be making an appearance in New York to promote her new romance novel that draws some biographical elements from her life in the royal family and some historical characters. The 62-year-old royal will be at the 92nd Street Y, a global cultural centre in NYC, on March 6.
According to the press release, Ferguson will be "talking about her relationship with the Queen and answer a few questions about Harry and Meghan," Express reported. The release also mentioned her relationship with King Charles as His Majesty's "former sister-in-law."
Ferguson was previously married to Prince Andrew from 1986 to 1996. They share two daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
The former royal couple remains amicable following their divorce. They even still live together at the Royal Lodge in Windsor. During Prince Harry and Markle's interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021, the Duchess of Sussex revealed that Ferguson taught her how to curtsy.
"Right in front of the house, we practiced and ran in. Fergie ran out and said, 'Do you know how to curtsy?'" Markle said, Daily Mail reported. "Apparently I did a very deep curtsy, I don't remember it, and then we sat there and we chatted."
What Did Sarah Ferguson Say About Meghan Markle And Prince Harry?
Sarah Ferguson was very close to Princess Diana as both were married to princes — Prince Andre and then-Prince Charles, respectively. However, they had a falling out before the latter died in a fatal car crash.
Ferguson hasn't been part of the royal fold for over two decades following her divorce from the Duke of York. However, she got invited to Prince Harry and Markle's royal wedding in 2018.
In 2021, when she was promoting her romance novel Her Heart for a Compass, she was asked about her nephew, who stepped back from his royal duties to move to the United States.
"The most important thing—and I know Diana, if she were here, would say that—is they are happy. And she makes him happy. And I love to see that little boy that cried at the funeral to have happiness now," she said, per People.
She echoed the same sentiment in her interview with Good Morning America.
"I believe that everybody has a right to their own voice and there should be no judgment on race, creed, color or any other denomination," Ferguson said about the press' treatment toward Markle.

"I personally would never be able to judge another, so I just am not like that. I wish Harry and Meghan so much happiness and I know that [the late Princess] Diana would be so proud of her sons and their wives."
