Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles have been easy targets of criticisms before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle got the spotlight. Many royal followers are not happy with the marriage of the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall as it was claimed that they both cheated on the late Princess Diana.
There were reports saying that Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles were in a relationship before Princess Diana decided to call it quits with the Prince of Wales. There were also speculations that even Queen Elizabeth is not supportive of the Charles and Camilla romance.
Now, it is being suggested that Prince Charles has always wanted Camilla Parker-Bowles crowned with him should Queen Elizabeth finally abdicate. Keep on reading to know more details.
Will Camilla Parker-Bowles Become Queen Should Prince Charles Finally Inherit The Throne?
Express UK reported that Prince Charles has always intended to have Camilla Parker-Bowles crowned with him. Kinsey Schofield spoke with Christopher Anderson on To Di For Daily podcast about Camille automatically becoming Queen Consort if Charles finally becomes the King.
Kinsey said during the most recent podcast episode:
"They said that, upon marrying her, [Camilla] they said to the public that she will not become Queen, she's going to be Princess Consort. Now all of a sudden, and this is years ago that you wrote this, they're saying we don't know if she's going to become Queen. Can they get away with that?"
Royal expert Christopher Anderson responded with:
"Right? That was a lie. He always intended for her to Queen. And in fact, she is now Princess of Wales. This is kind of a shell game, they're playing a kind of a smoke and mirrors because nobody wants to offend sensibilities by calling this person Princess of Wales, Diana will forever be Princess of Wales as far as people are concerned. But no, Camilla Queen, of course, she's going to be Queen, she will automatically become queen when he's king. And do you think he's going to have a coronation and then say, oh, you'll be the first Queen Consort in modern history to just be ignored? Of course not. Charles is going to grab it, and he's always intended to."
Most, if not all, royal fans are aware that Camilla Parker-Bowles chose to use the Duchess of Cornwall title instead of the Princess of Wales title upon her marriage to Prince Charles. Though she is not going to be called Queen once Prince Charles becomes King, she would automatically get the Queen Consort title and enjoy all the privileges attached to it.
Prince Charles And Prince Harry Have ‘Barely’ Spoken In Eight Months, Reports Claimed
Meanwhile, Prince Charles and Prince Harry have allegedly barely spoken in eight months as the Prince of Wales reportedly got devastated over the possibility that his grandchildren would criticize him. Recent reports claim that the two princes’ relationship may be affected again after a recent The Sunday Times report.
The said publication claimed that the charities of Prince Harry received at least $70,000 from Mahfouz Marei Mubarak bin Mahfouz, the controversial Saudi billionaire who was honored by Prince Charles with a British medal called CBE. The Duke of Sussex claimed he had cut ties with Mahfouz after becoming suspicious of his “motives.”
Prince Charles was allegedly “distraught” due to Prince Harry’s choice of words. Royal sources also told Daily Telegraph that Prince Harry’s claim he had “expressed his concerns about the donor” did not reach Prince Charles.
A close pal of Prince Charles told The Sun:
“Charles is deeply shocked and disappointed by Harry’s latest statement, which effectively threw his father under the bus. There are fears that this episode with Mahfouz could even be a chapter in Harry’s autobiography. This attack was more damaging than the swipe at Charles’ parenting skills because this was a challenge to the way he conducts his business, which is far more damaging to the future king. There is no way for Charles to fight back and defend himself publicly so he keeps a dignified silence. These constant barbs about his father from America could be very damaging to his reign. Attempts have been made to clear the air, but they have barely spoken since the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral. Charles very much loves his son and he will not be having a pop at Harry in return. It’s that simple. He is not going to join in because loving his son is the thing that matters the most.”
Prince Charles and Prince Harry have yet to comment on these recent claims. So, devoted supporters of Camilla Parker-Bowles and Meghan Markle’s husbands should take these unverified statements with a huge grain of salt until everything is proven true and correct.
