Camilla Parker Bowles opened the doors of her home in London, Clarence House, three female rowers — Kat Cordiner, who has cancer, and Abby Johnston and Charlotte Irving, who both crossed the Atlantic by rowing at sea for 42 days, seven hours and 17 minutes.
One of the rooms at Clarence House was filled with art pieces and photo frames of the royals. One of the photos on the round table features the Duchess of Sussex, Express reported.
In the picture, Prince Charles can be seen walking Markle down the aisle of St. George's Chapel. The Prince of Wales offered to give the bride away on her big day after her dad, Thomas Markle Sr., canceled his attendance at the event just days before the royal wedding.
Prince Harry was reportedly moved at the sight of her dad and bride. He was spotted telling his dad, "Thank you pa," when the Prince of Wales and Markle arrived at the altar.
Another frame behind Prince Charles and Markle's photo features a solo picture of the Duke of Sussex. Prince Harry is all smiles in the snap.
The Story Behind Prince Charles And Meghan Markle's Portrait
Prince Harry spoke about the intimate moment between his dad and bride on his most special day. According to the Duke of Sussex, he asked his dad to walk Meghan Markle away because her father couldn't make it on their big day.
"I asked him to and I think he knew it was coming and he immediately said, 'Yes, of course, I'll do whatever Meghan needs and I'm here to support you,'" Prince Harry said on the documentary Prince, Son and Heir: Charles at 70. "For him, that's a fantastic opportunity to step up and be that support, and you know he's our father so of course, he's gonna be there for us."
Prince Harry said during his and Markle's interview with Oprah Winfrey that his dad stopped taking his calls. He also claimed that the Prince of Wales cut them off financially after they stepped down from their royal duties.
The outlet noted that the father and son have been talking again. They have been in touch via a series of "good-natured" calls in the past month, according to the outlet.
Prince Charles reportedly invited Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to stay in Clarence House if they travel back to the U.K. However, it remains unknown when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will return to his home country.
Prince Harry is currently in a legal battle with the Home Office over his security request. Prince Harry wanted to personally pay for police protection in the U.K. because he doesn't feel it's safe to bring his family there without it.
