Pokemon Reveals Meltan's Evolution and IT IS HUGE

After a tease in the last video, Pokemon has finally unveiled the evolution of new monster Meltan; MelMetal. While not the best name around, fans will be happy to know that the Pokemon itself is massive and stands at an astounding 8-feet, making it look huge for next month's Pokemon Let's Go! Pikachu and Let's Go! Eevee.

Interestingly enough, Meltan is actually the first mythical Pokemon to have an evolution. Most Pokemon that are in the mythical/legendary status are usually stuck with one form and can't evolve, which isn't always a bad thing but this is a neat bit of trivia. The fact that it's just as cute as Meltan should make this giant Pokemon a favorite amongst many.

According to a press release sent out by The Pokemon Company (Via ComicBook.com), players will need to evolve Meltan in Pokemon Go by collecting 400 Meltan candies. Players can then transfer Melmetal to their copy of Pokemon: Let's Go! Pikachu and Pokemon: Let's Go! Eevee in order to use this new Mythical Pokemon in the new Nintendo Switch games.

Currently, Meltan is the only new Pokemon that will be introduced in the two Let's Go games coming out in November. Since the games are essentially remakes of Pokemon Yellow, most of us weren't expecting new Pokemon at all. Meltan should be a nice incentive for those that didn't want to get these games due to the GO-inspired catching mechanics.

Pokemon Let's Go! Pikachu and Let's Go! Eevee are coming to the Switch on November 16.
