Play Star Wars Battlefront for Free with EA Access


With the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hype buzzing around as fans get ready to see the movie in their respective theaters, gamers can also jump the bandwagon beyond the movie.

Electronic Arts has announced that Star Wars Battlefront is now available on The Vault via the EA Access, making it playable for free for players who are subscribed via the Xbox One.

Star Wars Battlefront joins over 30 games that can be played for free via the subscription service, all for just $4.99 every month. This is a pretty sweet deal, because it's also timing thanks to the newly released update for the title.

Over at the official Battlefront website, EA has detailed the new DLC, Rogue One: Scarif, which brings in two new heroes. These new additions are supposedly take inspiration from the movie.

"The rebellious Jyn Erso and the cruel but brilliant Director Orson Krennic make their highly-anticipated debut on the battlefront as the two new playable heroes in the Rogue One: Scarif DLC. We've worked closely with our friends at Lucasfilm to bring two of the newest icons of the Star Wars universe from the silver screen to Star Wars Battlefront."

It's a nice way to sample the abilities and powers of these characters as seen in the movie. There are also the Death Trooper characters, which will toggle behind Krennic for support.

The new DLC for Star Wars Battlefront will be available this December.
