New Aquaman Set Images Show Jason Momoa Shine as the King of Atlantis

Aquaman is probably the biggest DC character in the current film universe thanks to the then-unlikely, now-fits-the-bill casting of Jason Momoa.

Now that production has already started, there have been new on-set photo teasers. The images show a number of scenes with Momoa showing off just how great Aquaman could be if DC veered away from the rather sad butt-of-jokes version of him. We know that this Aquaman will not be some pushover, oh no.

More than Wan's production, Justice League director Zack Snyder also started teasing photos of the King of Atlantis. Comicbook.com found an image via Snyder's Vero account. The photo shows still dressed up in human clothes instead of showing off his character's tattoos.

Interestingly, compared to the on-set photos that were more focused on Aquaman, this image shows what could be the editing room. This could actually mean that the image is for Justice League, and we may be seeing one of the scenes that features Aquaman. It has the similar backdrop as the town where Bruce Wayne found Arthur Curry.

I'm personally still excited about Justice League. If only because of Aquaman and The Flash, I'm still willing to put my hopes that the first three movies are just a rocky start to the DC film-verse.

Aquaman will premiere in theaters on Oct. 5, 2018.
