Pilot Script For Netflix's The Witcher Has Been Completed

Video game adaptations don't always have fans excited but there is some hype for Netflix's live-action adaptation for The Witcher. All three games from CD Projekt Red have garnered critical acclaim, particularly The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and Netflix seems to take adaptations like these a bit more seriously, despite a few blunders here and there. This is why fans can't wait to see the series whenever it comes out.

While there is no release date for the series, fans will be happy to know that the first episode has been written.

On Twitter, Netflix writer Lauren S. Hissrich revealed that she has finished the pilot episode of the series. Though fans would rather hear about casting news or a release date, a finished pilot script does mean that we are getting closer to those two filmmaking aspects.

Hissrich has a very good reputation as a writer. She worked on Daredevil and The Defenders, as well as The West Wing. Many fans rejoiced when Hissrich's involvement in The Witcherwas announced, with many hoping she can do the games and books justice.

No release date for the series has been announced. Fans can get The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt right now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The first two Witcher games are only available on PC.
