Phoebe Waller-Bridge Speaks Up About Female Droid Role in Han Solo Spinoff

Last week word broke out that English actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge was being made to join the Star Wars universe to play a role in the franchise's highly anticipated Han Solo spinoff.

On Monday, insider reports came in revealing that Bridge would be taking on the role of the franchise's first "significantly-featured female droid in Star Wars history." Now, Waller-Bridge responds to the reports by sustaining that she knows nothing of the matter.

In an interview with Metro at this year's NME Awards this week, the 31-year-old Fleabag actress decided to remain coy about the reports of her role in Han Solo.

"I know nothing! Absolutely nothing," she denied. "It's all rumors."

According to the publication however, Waller-Bridge's face told an entirely different story. Grinning as she tried to dismiss the reports regarding her participation in Star Wars' upcoming spin-off, Waller-Bridge made it hard to believe that her denials were simply weak attempts at diverting fans away from the truth. We'll find out as soon as Lucasfilm gives out a confirmation.

The Untitled Han Solo anthology film is slated for release on May 25, 2018.
