Phoebe Waller-Bridge: Lord and Miller’s Influence Can Still Be Found in Solo - A Star Wars Story

Last year saw Zack Snyder leave his director position for Justice League only to be replaced by Joss Whedon; and the same switch has happened with director Phil Lord and Chris Miller for Solo: A Star Wars Story. Some people are curious on how much of the film Ron Howard has changed, but actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge says that we will still see some influences from the director duo.

Talking to IGN, Waller-Bridge says:

"We'd done some really, really great stuff with Chris and Phil that everyone was really thrilled with, and I think a lot of that will still be in it."

Last year, Lord and Miller were fired while they were close to finishing production for Solo, and Ron Howard was hired soon after to pick everything up; the reason for their removal was said to be ‘creative differences' with Lucasfilm head Kathy Kennedy.

With Howard taking over, it seems that he's found a way to give Lucasfilm the movie they wanted and at the same time pay respect to the vision that Lord and Miller started with. Waller-Bridge has said that the handover to Howard was "done with warmth and generosity from everybody."

With Solo coming out in May, a lot of people are anxious to see the first trailer for the movie. With the complicated behind-the-scenes drama surrounding the film, everyone is afraid that this will end up to be just like Justice League.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is set to come out May 25.
