Peter Weller Reprising Robocop Role for Mortal Kombat 11

Fans are over the moon now that NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros confirmed that Mortal Kombat 11 Story DLC, called Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath is coming out this month. Most fans would agree that story is where the studio excels at and the fact that they're adding three more characters is a nice bonus. Robocop is the latest guest character to join the game and we are pretty hyped about that but Ed Boon really got us excited when he revealed that Peter Weller would reprise the role.

In case you weren't a ‘90s kid, Peter Weller is the original actor who played Robocop and we are happy to see him voice this iconic movie character. What's more, this makes the fighter more interesting than The Terminator since good old Arnold did not reprise his role. Here is hoping that Robocop actually has a good move-set since everyone was disappointed by Terminator.

Nostalgic fans love that we're getting the original Peter Weller Robocop and not the most recent rebooted one, for obvious reasons. While that movie had a fun character design, many felt that it was too generic when compared to the original. Still, it would be fun to see if the design ends up being an alternate costume, though we won't be holding our breath.

Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath will be coming out on May 26. The game is now available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
