Percy Jackson Creator Rick Riordan Drops New Update on Disney+ Reboot

It has been a while since we got any updates on the Percy Jackson reboot. Luckily, Rick Riordan has some exciting news. The Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief author has just dropped several updates on his upcoming projects for Disney and Netflix.

Rick Riordan has been sharing updates on his official Twitter account about the Percy Jackson reboot. However, it has been some time since the writer shared anything on social media. Interestingly, Riordan has something new to tweet about and it's not just about the reboot. As it turns out, his other works are getting awesome adaptations as well.

In addition to the Percy Jackson remake on Disney+, Riordan hyped up the spin-off novel that will focus on Nico di Angelo and Will Solace. It is also confirmed that The Kane Chronicles, which follows Carter and Sadie Kane, is being developed by Netflix. Lastly, Jackson's latest book Daughter of the Deep will be adapted for Disney.

That's a lot of updates and truly exciting ones for fans of Riordan's work. It looks like the writer will be very busy in the upcoming months.

Riordan will work with Mark Oshiro on the still-untitled Nico and Will book, which is currently going by the shipname #Solangelo. The Kane Chronicles is still in early development and no casting news has been dropped just yet.
