It looks like the untitled sequel to A Quiet Place just got a little more interesting. A new report confirms that Peaky Blinders star Cillian Murphy is in negotiations to join the highly anticipated horror film. In addition to that, his character might try to seduce Emily Blunt's Evelyn Abbott.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Murphy is still in talks to join A Quiet Place 2. Nevertheless, it seems to be going well. The report even pointed out that the Inception actor will portray "a man with mysterious intentions who joins the family unit." Could this mean that Evelyn will have time for romance while taking care of Regan, Marcus, and the new baby?

The plot of A Quiet Place 2 is still very much a secret. For now, all we know is that John Krasinski will be writing and directing the sequel. Blunt, as well as Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe, will reprise their roles from the first film.

Murphy's addition is certainly an interesting one considering that the actor is excellent at playing mysterious characters. He played the scary terrorist in Red Eye and took on the role of comic book character Jonathan Crane/Scarecrow in Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy. Murphy is currently playing Thomas Shelby in the BBC series Peaky Blinders, which is set for its fifth season.

A Quiet Place 2 is expected to begin production this summer. The sequel is currently scheduled for release on May 15, 2020.
