Paul Bettany, Riz Ahmed Coming to Star Wars Celebration

The guest stars continue to grow for this April's Star Wars Celebration 2019. After it was confirmed that Episode IX actors Oscar Isaac and Billy Dee Williams would be appearing, we have two new actors from the anthology films announced.

According to StarWars.com, Paul Bettany (Solo) and Riz Ahmed (Rogue One) are set to make an appearance at Celebration. She may not also be as famous are the previous two, but Hermione Corfield, who played A-Wing pilot Tallie Lintra, has also been confirmed for an appearance.

Going back to Bettany though, I'm really happy that he's game to make an appearance at Celebration. With Solo feeling like one of the more misunderstood films in the Disney era of Star Wars, I want to see what he has to say about it. Maybe people's reaction during his panel could be a chance for Solo fans to change Lucasfilm's mind about a sequel. Maybe the movie can even include the original Dryden Vos, Michael K. Williams, in a role this time around.

As for Ahmed, I have a soft spot for his Bodhi Rook in Rogue One. He may not have been a fighter like Cassian or Jyn, but he has one of the more heroic moments in the movie. It's also worth noting that he's the only one that willingly defected from the Empire, and that's saying a lot.

Star Wars Celebration takes place this April, and I'm sure more celebrities will be announced for the event as it draws nearer. It's only a matter of time before we get confirmations for Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, and John Boyega. I can feel it.

Catch Star Wars Episode IX in theaters Dec. 20.
