Patton Oswalt Says Marvel's M.O.D.O.K. is the Character He Was Born to Play

Marvel and Hulu almost shook the internet a few days ago when both companies announced that they struck a partnership, with the latter distributing a number of animated shows based on some of the former's obscure characters. Marvel's Howard the Duck, Marvel's M.O.D.O.K., Marvel's Hit-Monkey, and Marvel's Tigra and Dazzler Show will soon enter the realm of animation and we're all looking forward to seeing how they do, so let's hope for good things.

While a lot of the attention went to Howard the Duck, due to the character appearing in Guardians of the Galaxy and affiliation with Kevin Smith, it's also worth noting that Marvel's M.O.D.O.K. will have the vocal talent of comedian Patton Oswalt. He had previously voiced Uncle Ben for Marvel's Spider-Man in Disney XD but in an interview with Marvel.com, the actor claimed that M.O.D.O.K. is the role he was born to play.

"I could not be more excited for you guys to see what we do with M.O.D.O.K. He's the character I was, sadly, born to play."

The character has always been a cult-favorite due to his weird character design and offbeat adventures. Anyone who has read Jeff Parker's Red Hulk run or Ales Kot's Secret Avengers knows that the character has been in some weird places.

No release date for the animated series has been revealed, though fans have odd expectations. Considering the potential M.O.D.O.K. has an animated character, we can only hope for good things.
