Hulu Open To The Possibility Of Revivals For Daredevil, Luke Cage, And Iron Fist

It looks like there might be hope for Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and Daredevil just yet.

Marvel TV fans had a whole lot of heartbreak last year. A week after cancelling Iron Fist despite a significantly stronger second season, Netflix went on and axed Luke Cage, another Marvel TV series that resonated strongly among fans. A month after that, the streaming giant decided to cancel Daredevil too, a comic book series that received positive reviews from fans and critics alike.

While it seems rather unlikely that the shows might be able to return to Netflix, fans have been hoping that Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and Daredevil might be able to find a new home and it looks like Hulu might be interested in offering the shows a place to stay.

The Wrap just recently spoke with Hulu senior vice president of originals Craig Erwich, and during the interview, the publication asked the network executive whether there was a possibility that Marvel TV's cancelled Netflix series could find some sort of revival in the streaming site.

Though Erwich didn't give an explicit yes, he did hint that Hulu is eager to continue its partnership with Marvel in whatever way they could think of.

"Marvel has a ton of titles we'd be interested in," Erwich said. "It kind of just depends on when they're ready, [and] who, most importantly, is going to be behind these things."

The only problem is that Netflix has a clause in its contract which prohibits any of its old series from finding another home until two years after its cancellation. So even if Hulu is interested in Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Daredevil, fans are still going to have to wait.

Oh well. They do say patience is a virtue.
