Patrick Stewart Finally Confirms His Involvement in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

The release of the recent Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness trailer broke the internet thanks to Patrick Stewart's voice appearance as Charles Xavier which marks his return in the Marvel Universe. While we all recognized his voice in the trailer, Stewart was channeling Andrew Garfield as he kept on denying in several interviews that it was his voice until just recently when it looks like he finally gave in and seemingly confirmed that he is in the upcoming MCU film.

During an interview with entertainment reporter Jake Hamilton, Stewart shared his reaction to the trailer in which he basically confirmed that it was indeed his voice that we heard given the way he responded to the question instead of denying it like in several interviews for the past week.

"It wasn't until the next morning when I woke up and looked at my phone and found that I had been bombarded with responses," Stewart said. "And, my PR people had sent me reactions that they had detailed and passed on to me. I actually didn't recognize my own voice. It sounded different. Whether I had a cold or something that time, I don't know. I was astonished as all they saw was the back of my shoulder and, I think, my ear lobe, nothing else, that there would've been so many connections made. But, it pleased me."

If you read Stewart's response, he basically affirmed that it was his voice that we heard in the trailer especially since he said that he might have a cold during the time that they were filming it which asserts his presence at that moment. It sounds like he was very happy with the fan responses to the trailer and impressed that we were able to figure out that it was him even though it was only his voice (which sounded different for him) and we've only seen the back of his shoulder.

twIt is nice that we finally have the long-awaited confirmation from Stewart himself that it was his voice that we heard in the trailer and it looks like we can assume that he is reprising the role of Charles Xavier in the upcoming sequel. Fans are speculating that his appearance has something to do with the character being part of the Illuminati. Fortunately, we're now Fortunately, we're now justwo months away before we get to find out any answers and also see the return of Stewart as Charles Xavier.
