Park Seo Joon Flies to Hungary After Completing Quarantine Following COVID-19 Diagnosis

Park Seo Joon finally recovered from COVID-19.

On February 24, Park Seo Joon’s fans were left shocked after the actor’s agency, Awesome Entertainment, confirmed that he contracted COVID-19.

The What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim? actor reportedly tested himself using a self-testing kit before his scheduled activity that week. After testing positive using the kit, he underwent a PCR test and confirmed his diagnosis.

Per initial reports, he received three doses of the vaccine but still canceled his activities for February. After resting for weeks, the actor left the country to work on a new movie.

Park Seo Joon Recovers From COVID-19

On Thursday, Awesome ENT released a statement confirming that the Fight For My Way actor has fully recovered and is now resuming his activities. It added that the actor had already left for Hungary to shoot his upcoming film, Dream.

“After being released from quarantine last week, he fully recovered his health, so the filming is unlikely to be disrupted. Just in case, we will work hard to take care of his health and shoot safely. There may be changes depending on the local situation, but he is planning to return to Korea after wrapping up filming in March,” the statement continued.

Park Seo Joon is said to be one of the last members to leave South Korea as the cast and crew had already departed on different schedules.

His upcoming film, directed by Lee Byung Hun, explores the lives of people who try their luck in joining the Homeless World Cup. Park Seo Joon plays the role of Yoon Hong Dae, a soccer player turned coach of a ragtag soccer team.

IU and Lee Hyun Woo also star in the movie.

Park Seo Joon Scored Another Role

Aside from Dream, Park Seo Joon has also been tapped to lead Gyeongseong Creature alongside Han So Hee. The filming started before the actor contracted COVID-19.

In the drama, two young adults fight for their lives against a creature during the dark times of Spring 1945. Park Seo Joon scored Jang Tae Sang’s role, while Han So Hee took on the part of Yoon Chae Ok.

Gyeongseong Creature will premiere in 2023.
