"Also, it starred so many actors that I like so I really wanted to join. The role of Berlin is very attractive so I wanted to take the challenge."

Park Hae Soo Spends Time Researching

Aside from learning how to act as Berlin, Park Hae Soo reportedly researched real-life cases and the life stories of people who grew up behind bars after trying to escape the country.

For Park Hae Soo, he started developing an interest in war refugees and divided peninsulas while doing theater. To make his portrayal more realistic, he searched for videos and stories from North Korean internment camps and learned the drill.

Although he and the cast members have been doing well because they researched their characters, he admitted that they have been receiving mixed reviews as Money Heist: Korea ― Joint Economic Area, has an original series people can be compared to.

Money Heist: Korea ― Joint Economic Area still topped the charts in 11 countries and ranked third overall.
