Overlord Episode 7 Recap
Yohz, the red-fur Quagoa, travels to Feo Berkana to see Riyuro, the clan Lord. He reported that the dwarves have sent army golems as a counter-attack to their invasion in the Great Chasm.
Another Quagoa arrives and alerts Riyuro that something is approaching their territory. Riyuro believes the dwarves have begun their counterattack and that more golems are on their way.
Riyuro decided to see and speak with the frost dragons and directed Yohz to gather all the Quagoas in the abandoned zone. Riyuro's strategy would be to have the dragons fight the dwarves and weaken them on both sides.
Following that, Riyuro seeks the audience of Lord Olasird'arc, the great white dragon lord. Riyuro informed him of the impending dwarven attack. He also wishes to borrow the dragon's strength in exchange for gold coins.
Lord Olasird'arc conferred with his wives before reaching a decision. Except for one, almost all of them agreed to Riyuro's request.
Lord Olasird'arc agreed to Riyuro's request to stop the dwarves in exchange for gold coins worth ten times what Riyuro had initially offered.
After the Quagoas had left, Lord Olasird'arc went to Hejinmal, his eldest son, and told him to take his place and personally see the dwarven attack. Despite his reservations, Hejinmal obeyed his father's wishes.
Hejinmal attempts to deduce the situation along the way. He is not particularly skilled in combat after all. He hopes that once his enemies see him as a capable dragon, they will flee.
However, Hejinmal noticed a dwarf, a dark elf, and an elderly lich casually approaching him. Hejinmal became suspicious because the elderly lich did not appear normal for it was wearing an expensive robe.
Hejinmal inquired of the elder lich, Ainz, about their plans in the capital.
Instead of answering his questions, Ainz demanded confirmation that Hejinmal is the frost dragon who lives in the capital. Hejinmal responded that he was the son of the frost dragon Ainz mentioned.
Unfortunately, Hejinmal's intimidating dragon persona did not sway Ainz and his comrades.
While the hidden Quagoas watched, Hejinmal decided to vow and submit to Ainz before the latter could cast his Grasp Heart spell. Fortunately, Ainz paused his attack and considered Hejinmal's offer.
Ainz is taken aback by Hejinmal's ability to survive the cold conditions in the capital by storing subcutaneous fat in his body.
Hejinmal also informed Ainz that he was the only dragon with body fat. As a result, Ainz decided not to kill him because of his rarity.
According to Hejinmal, the capital has four larger dragons and 15 smaller dragons like him. While Ainz is flabbergasted, he hands over Hejinmal to Aura.
Aura graciously accepted Ainz's generosity. She blows purple dust in front of Hejinmal to show him that she is her master. Hejinmal, on the other hand, began to pee himself.
According to Ainz, Ankoro Mochi Mochi, told him about her pet dog, who also pees itself when petted.
As a result, Shalltear proposes doing the same thing concerning Ainz's greatness. It's a good thing Aura interrupted Shalltear's thoughts, because Ainz might collapse if all the NPC guardians tried to pee themselves.
Ainz then directed Aura and Shalltear to handle the Quagoas. He also told Hejinmal to bring him to the frost dragons. Gondo begs Ainz to spare Hejinmal's mother before deciding to kill all the frost dragons.
Inside, Ainz used his Grasp Heart spell to easily dispatch Lord Olasird'arc. Hejinmal told Ainz before killing all of Lord Olasird'arc's wives that they were all his mothers. True to his word, Ainz decided to spare the remaining three dragons.
Ainz directed Hejinmal to gather all dwarven documents while Lord Olasird'arc's wives gathered all the smaller dragons. Gondo also requested that Ainz open the treasury before everyone returned.
Ainz employs a unique item that can only be used seven times in the royal treasury. Ainz and Gondo are greeted with the capital's riches when they open the treasury.
Meanwhile, Aura and Shalltear are preparing to deal with the Quagoas. According to Aura, Ainz directed them to first speak with the Quagoas to persuade them to surrender.
Aura revealed that Ainz had long suspected that the Death Knights had been killed after falling off the bridge. Aura deduced that he didn't tell Shalltear about it to put her to the test and make her believe Ainz had guessed incorrectly.
Following that, Aura and Shalltear speak with the clan lord, Riyuro, and persuade him to bow and kneel before Ainz. However, Riyuro refuses to surrender because he rules over thousands of Quagoas.
Shalltear informed Riyuro of Ainz's orders to reduce the Quagoa population to 4,000 females, 4,000 males, and 2,000 children. Despite this, Riyuro led his forces against Shalltear and Aura.
However, Shalltear is too powerful for the Quagoas. Her strength is far superior to the Death Knights she's previously faced. Riyuro decided to send all of his chosen warriors to counter Shalltear's attack, hoping that Shalltear would be too tired from killing so many of his army.
Unfortunately, Shalltear's strength never wavered. While Riyuro regrets his actions, he decided to choose fighters until only ten thousand remained.
The frost dragons, on the other hand, have gathered in front of Ainz. Except for the foolish Trangealit, who met the same fate as Lord Olasird'arc, they pledge allegiance to the Sorcerer King.
Ainz goes to see the remaining Quagoas with Shalltear and Aura. Riyuro accepted defeat and vowed to serve Ainz in exchange for his mercy. Ainz also praised Shalltear and Aura for their hard work.
Meanwhile, the other dwarves rejoiced. Ainz has prepared a feast and plenty of booze for everyone as a farewell to the runesmiths.
Ainz runs into Demiurge near the end of the episode. Demiurge was informed by Ainz that he had read his report on the Theocracy. Demiurge, in turn, commends Ainz for his efforts in the dwarven kingdom.
Demiurge also inquired about Ainz's plans. It made him remember a guild called the Millenium Kingdom, which had a crane on its flag.
Finally, Ainz and Demiurge laugh at their misunderstanding, as the latter highly regards the former.
