Who is Shalltear in Overlord?
Shalltear Bloodfallen guards the first three floors of the Great Tomb of Nazarick. Lord Peroroncino, one of the 41 Supreme Beings and Lord Ainz's guildmate, created her.
She is known for being flirtatious, bold, and assertive when it comes to Lord Ainz, much to the chagrin of some of her peers, particularly Albedo. She also frequently argues with Aura Bella Flora, the dark elf guardian of the Great Tomb of Nazarick's sixth floor.
Shalltear was programmed to enjoy various fetishes, including necrophilia, as a result of Lord Peroroncino's perversion.
She is a vampire with the appearance of a 14-year-old girl by nature. Her appearance changes, however, when she goes berserk with her Blood Frenzy to satisfy her blood cravings and eventually suck the blood of her victims.
Who Mind-Controlled Shalltear in Overlord?
Lady Kaire, one of the Black Scriptures, accidentally mind-controlled Shalltear.
Ainz had previously ordered Shalltear to assist butler Sebas and his subordinate, Solution, in enslaving criminals who can use martial arts and magic.
However, things went wrong when Shalltear and her Vampire Brides launched a full-frontal assault on the brigand's hideout, where the martial arts expert, Brain Unglaus, resides.
Despite his cool demeanor, Brain is no match for the vampire Shalltear. She even mocks Brain and repels all of his attacks. As a result, Brain flees, only to be followed by the now-activated Blood Frenzied Shalltear into the interior, where his comrades await their untimely demise.
Luckily for Brain, he avoids death at the hands of Shalltear. Following that, Shalltear and her vampire brides come across some groups of adventurers. Brita threw a red minor healing potion at her just as she was about to kill them all.
Shalltear, intrigued by where Brita obtained it, forces Brita to answer her questions.
She sends her vampire wolves to find the two adventurers who escaped by accident. All of them, however, were killed by the Black Scriptures who were in the same location. As a result, Shalltear launches an attack on the Black Scriptures, only to be mind-controlled by Lady Kaire before her death.
To Lord Ainz's chagrin, Shalltear was hit by the world item, Downfall of Castle and Country.
The mind control in Shalltear will not activate because Lady Kaire is no longer alive. Instead, she reverted to her default defensive NPC settings, where she will only attack if she is attacked.

Does Shalltear Betray Ainz in Overlord?
In Overlord, Shalltear did not betray Ainz. Albedo reported that she revolted against Ainz due to her red name in the settings tab.
This prompted Ainz to inquire about Shalltear's whereabouts. Shalltear either betrayed him or was brainwashed. It turns out that the second scenario is correct.
Lord Ainz uses some of the world-level items in their treasury to settle matters with Shalltear. He believes he overlooked the situation and blames himself for Shalltear's current condition.
Despite appearing to have little chance of defeating Shalltear in a one-on-one battle, he killed Shalltear as planned.
Lord Ainz sacrifices 500 million gold from the Nazarick's Treasury to resurrect Shalltear. Demiurge told Shalltear everything that had happened when she was resurrected.
Because of this, Shalltear is having difficulty forgiving herself for causing harm to her master, Lord Ainz.
