Outer Banks Season 3 is one of the most highly anticipated Netflix Original shows, and fans are excited to find out more about the new season. The good news is that it's currently in production in South Carolina and Barbados, but fans will have to wait a little longer before the streaming giant announces an official release date. The cast took a break from filming Season 3, and now we have a tease that will fuel the hype for the show.
During a panel moderated by The Hollywood Reporter at the Sun Valley Film Festival in Ketchum, Idaho, the cast recently received the Rising Star Award, and also talked about how their characters evolved last season and tease what's to come in the show that was created by Josh Pate, Jonas Pate, and Shannon Burke. Stars who joined the conversation included Madelyn Cline (Sarah), Rudy Pankow (JJ), Jonathan Daviss (Pope), Austin North (Topper), Drew Starkey (Rafe), and Carlacia Grant (Cleo).
“I’ve really enjoyed Sarah’s journey quite a bit with her family and just her own personal development,” Cline said about her character. “That’s something that I owe greatly to Josh, Jennifer, Shannon, for allowing me to kind of put my mark on it and open up to them about the journeys that I went on as a teenager and learning how to put your foot down. But I’ve really enjoyed working quite a bit with Drew and Chip [Estes]. The family dynamic is so interesting and very, very deep and heavy. That’s always really exciting for me because it challenges me, and it pushes me as an actor, and then I get to go and work with the Pogues, and that’s always just a breath of fresh air.”
As for what to expect in the upcoming season, Cline teases, "I think it’s adrenaline. It’s gonna be as exciting as ever.”
Pankow added: “There is the same kind of feeling, where it’s gonna be high-adrenaline, high-octane — but new shades.”

For those unfamiliar, Outer Banks is a teen drama that follows a group of treasure hunters known as the Pogues. The first two seasons featured mysteries that haven't been resolved yet, but it looks like Season 3 will provide some answers and possibly open new ones.
