James Gunn's The Suicide Squad First Look At Peter Capaldi

Doctor Who fans lost it when it was announced that Peter Capaldi would be in James Gunn's The Suicide Squad. We're all pretty curious about the kind of character he will be playing, though we're sure that he'll make it worthwhile. Then again, this is also a Suicide Squad movie so I'm not expecting him to survive for a long time unless DC and Gunn surprise me.

While we still don't know who the character he'll be playing is, his co-star Mayling Ng shared a photo of the two together and revealed Capaldi's haircut. It still doesn't give us any major clues but fans might be able to take a guess or two. At the least, Ng is a fan of Doctor Who and did acknowledge how he was "The Doctor."

There are a lot of characters that will be in James Gunn's The Suicide Squad but we only know a couple of them since they were in the first film. Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, Amanda Waller, and Rick Flag are all confirmed for the sequel. We're all waiting for DC and Warner Bros to announce who these characters will be playing, which should be a lot of fun when they die.

Sort of a soft reboot of Suicide Squad, though also an unofficial sequel, The Suicide Squad is going to be a brand-new direction for these characters. Gunn has promised that the movie will be faithful to the comics so we're hoping they get put into some sort of black ops mission.

The Suicide Squad is scheduled for release on August 6, 2021.
