A lot of hype surrounds Ezra Miller's The Flash film for it is said to draw some inspiration from the legendary Flashpoint comic storyline. Clearly, it'll be the DC Extended Universe's first attempt at opening the portal to their own multiverse with Ben Affleck's Batman possibly sharing some screen time with the returning Michael Keaton who is reportedly in negotiations to reprise his Batman role.
Now, another DC veteran is being rumored to be part of the already impressive ensemble. The original Wonder Woman actress Lynda Carter is allegedly joining The Flash to make her grand comeback as the fierce Amazonian warrior. According to an exclusive scoop from The Vulcan Reporter, Lynda is up for a cameo role in the upcoming DC film. It's also worth noting that Gal Gadot is part of the project so Lynda's potential inclusion would be totally interesting.
Hopefully, DC knocks this one out of the park because it has all the potential in the world to be great. It may have been a rocky start for the DCEU but to its credit, it seems like they've finally cracked the code over the last couple of years with the success of their previous offerings like Wonder Woman, Shazam!, and Aquaman. If they continue riding the wave of momentum, it'll be a huge win for all of us.
That said, The Flash is slated for release in 2022.
