Star Wars fans are certainly in for a treat. Not only is Lucasfilm working on releasing Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker this year, but Disneyland is also opening the gates of its new Star Wars theme park, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.
The park had its grand opening last weekend, and it looks like Harrison Ford was one of the lucky few who were able to visit the Star Wars theme park. Speaking in an interview with Variety during the premiere of The Secret Life of Pets 2 at the Westwood's Fox Theater, the Star Wars legend gave his thoughts on the park and its piece de resistance, the Smuggler's Run, a fancy new ride that allows guests to take a trip on Star Wars most popular ship, the Millennium Falcon.
Ford tries to sum up his experience on the Smuggler's Run with one word: "incredible."
"I think it works better than the one we used to use for the movies," he joked.
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge has two attractions set for the park, however, Rise of the Resistance will only be made available later this year. Right now Star Wars fans are going to have to settle for juts Smuggler's Run.
Of course there are a lot of other things too, besides taking a joy ride on the Millennium Falcon. Guests can try out blue milk, build their own lightsaber, create droids, and buy all sorts of Star Wars creatures at the shop.
Star Wars Galaxy's Edge opened at Disneyland on May 31. The Star Wars theme park is set to open on August 29, 2019 in Disney's Hollywood Studios.
