Original Blade Star Wesley Snipes Has Another Message For Marvel

Blade star Wesley Snipes has more to say about Marvel's decision to cast Academy Award-winning actor Mahershala Ali as the new Eric Brooks in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Blade reboot.

Taking to Twitter after going on an interview addressing the new Blade reboot casting, Snipes decided to send Marvel another message on social media.

"Vampire breaking news," Snipes wrote in his post, "Message from the Daywalker... Hey MCU, haven't we been down this road before? Aye yah, some motherf---ers are always trying to ice skate uphill ....hahaha."

While Marvel fans were eager to see Marvel pursuing a Blade reboot with Ali after years and years of asking for another Blade movie, some were a bit saddened that the original vampire hunter star wouldn't be able to reprise his role anymore.

Snipes doesn't seem to bitter though, telling ComicBook.com that he's come to terms with being replaced as Blade. In his interview with the publication, the actor says that he has nothing but peace for the MCU team and respect for comic book legend, Stan Lee.

"To all the DAYWALKERS losing their minds right now, chillaaxx," Snipes said. "Although the news comes as a surprise, it's ALL GOOD. Such is the ‘business' of ‘entertainment!' Much peace to the MCU crew - always a fan," Snipes says. "Honor and respect to the grandmaster Stan. Congratulations and Salaam to Mahershala Ali, a beautiful and talented artist whose expressions I look forward to experiencing for many years to come. Inshallah, we will someday work together. Most importantly to my loyal fans, the incredible outpouring of love is overwhelming. I am grateful for the never-ending support. So, ‘nah fret nah worry, it's not de end of de story.' Welcome to the Daywalker Klique."

It's good to see that Snipes is taking the news well. The actor had been expressing interest in reprising his role as Blade on social media before, so it must come as a bit of a disappointment to hear that he'd been replaced by Ali.

Marvel's Blade reboot has yet to receive a release date but we'll update everyone as soon as we get word.
