Selena Gomez is returning to play Mabel Mora, a young artist living in her aunt's apartment who befriends two of her elderly neighbors after bonding over their favorite true crime podcast.
Martin Short will still play Oliver Putnam, a retired and disgraced Broadway writer who is trying to find his way back into the stage.
Steve Martin completes the trio as Charles Haden-Savage, the retired actor of the trio who is struggling to relive his glory days.
Old Faces in the Building
Most of the other characters from the earlier two seasons will be returning to reprise their role.
Da’Vine Joy Randolph will still play Detective Donna Williams along with Tina Fey as Cinda Canning.
We may also see more familiar faces in the third season, like Cara Delevigne as Alice, Nathan Lane as Teddy Dimas, Zoe Colleti as Lucy, Amy Ryan as Jane Bellow, and Ryan Broussard as Will Putnam.
Other potential recurring characters are Christine Ko as Nina, Michael Cyril Creighton as Howad, Adina Verson as Poppy/Becky, and Michale Rapaport as Detective Keps.

Ashley Park moves into the series as the character called Kimber. Paul Rudd, famous for his role in the MCU, will also join the show as the victim Ben Gilroy.

What happened in the first two seasons of Only Murders in the Building?
In the first season of Only Murders in the Building, we got to meet the protagonists of the show - Mabel (Selena Gomez), Charles (Steve Martin), and Oliver (Martin Short) who became close friends after a chance meeting in the local diner, bonding over their love for their favorite true-crime podcast. Things take a mysterious turn for the newly formed trio when another resident living in their apartment building is found dead and they are the main suspects.
Their names are eventually cleared, but the end is bleak for them as they become the primary suspects in another murder.
By the second season, Mabel found the head of the homeowners association murdered, thus making them the primary suspects of the crime once again.
How many episodes will Only Murders in the Building Season 3 have?
There are still no announcements about how many episodes the third season will have. However, the show's first two seasons had ten episodes each, so we may safely assume that this season of Only Murders in the Building may also have the same.
