It's been a long wait for One-Punch Man Season 2 and the producers aren't taking any chances with the new season. JAM Project has just confirmed that they will be working on the new opening theme for the series.

JAM Project certainly had a hit with The Hero, the opening theme for the first season of One-Punch Man. The Hero certainly helped the group reach a wider audience since 2015. Not surprisingly, vocalist Masami Okui has just confirmed that the band has been asked to write a new theme for the show's second season.

Okui did not reveal the group's plan for the new opening theme just yet. Nevertheless, fans are excited about the new song that will set the mood for One-Punch Man Season 2. Could it still be Saitama's theme, or will it include a major reference to Garou? We can hardly wait for the new updates from JAM Project.

One-Punch Man Season 2 will follow Saitama on his new adventures. The official synopsis for the new season reads as follows:

"Saitama is a hero who only became a hero for fun. After three years of 'special training,' he's become so strong that he's practically invincible. In fact, he's too strong—even his mightiest opponents are taken out with a single punch. Now, the great seer Madame Shibabawa's prediction about the Earth being doomed seems to be coming true as the frequency of monster incidents escalates. Alongside Genos, his faithful disciple, Saitama begins his official hero duties as a member of the Hero Association, while Garou, a man utterly fascinated by monsters, makes his appearance."

Garou will be voiced by veteran voice actor Hikaru Midorikawa. The character's debut is certainly one of the most anticipated features of the new season.

One-Punch Man Season 2 will premiere in April 2019.
