One-Punch Man Season 2 Air Date Confirmed For Spring 2019

People have been waiting for Saitama's comeback for almost three years. Luckily, VIZ Media has finally been confirmed that One-Punch Man Season 2 will air in Spring 2019.

There have been speculations that the second season would premiere in late 2018. Some fans also believed that an announcement would be made by animation studio J.C. Staff during the company's event earlier this week. Although J.C. Staff hinted at a 2019 premiere, they made no official confirmation. Luckily, VIZ Media made a formal announcement on Twitter stating that One-Punch Man Season 2 will air in April 2019.

The actual air date has not yet been revealed. Nevertheless, fans can rest assured that the wait for the second season will be less than a year away.

It is important to point out that neither J.C. Staff nor VIZ Media confirmed whether the second season will be simulcast worldwide. However, fans are hopeful that the VIZ Media tweet suggested that the April 2019 airing would be a worldwide premiere.

There is much to look forward to in One-Punch Man Season 2. It has already been confirmed that Garou will finally be introduced in the anime and will be voiced by veteran voice actor Hikaru Midorikawa. Although Bang's former disciple has played a large role in the webcomics, the character did not make an appearance in the anime's first season.

The second season of One-Punch Man will also feature webcomic characters Genos and Speed O' Sound Sonic.

One-Punch Man started out as a webcomic in 2009. Series creator ONE collaborated with illustrator Yusuke Murata on a complete redrawing of the manga for Weekly Shonen Jump. The success led to the anime that became a worldwide hit.
