If you ask any manga fan who they think the best manga artist working right now is, chances are that many will mention Yusuke Murata. This is because Murata is noted for his beautiful art style and impressive speed.

He is best known at this point for being the illustrator of Shueisha’s One Punch Man manga.

While One Punch Man began as a webcomic by ONE, Murata approached the creator as he wanted to remake the work.

While ONE’s original work had a certain charm, it’s fair to say that his drawing isn’t exactly the best looking.

But with Murata’s manga remake, One Punch Man’s art was elevated to incredible levels, thereby skyrocketing its popularity.

Before this remake though, Murata was already a popular artist. He first gained renown for his various one-shot manga which were released in the early 2000s.

However, he truly gained renown with Eyeshield 21, a Shonen Jump manga that he illustrated and was serialized from 2002 to 2009.

The manga became popular enough that it received an anime adaptation in 2005.
