One Piece: World Seeker Gamescom 2018 Trailer Reveals Straw Hat Crew and Familiar Villains

Bandai Namco has released the latest trailer for One Piece: World Seeker, a new open-world game based on the popular franchise. First unveiled during Gamescom 2018, the trailer doesn't focus on open-world elements like previous videos but decided to show off the rest of the Straw Hat Pirates and some of Luffy's worst enemies from the franchise.

As can be seen in the trailer, we see Luffy take on characters like Issho, Kizaru, Kuzan, Sakazuki, and more. Thankfully, he won't be alone as teammates like Nami, Kanji, and Zoro have also been confirmed for the game, though it looks like Luffy is the only one who will be playable.

Due to the emphasis on fighting and anime characters, World Seeker is starting to feel like a proper anime game, for better or worse. Focusing on the combat is never a bad thing and being able to see Luffy take on these iconic anime villains is a dream come true. Still, it would have been nice to see more of the open-world, maybe a few side quests here and there.

Previous trailers for the game have impressed long-term fans of the franchise and gamers in general, with a beautiful world and fun gameplay mechanics. Being able to explore the world as Luffy and using his various techniques to explore sounds fun.

One Piece: World Seeker comes out sometime in 2018. The game will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
