There is little doubt that there is a lot of One Piece content to look forward to despite the recent Toei Animation hack that sidelined the main anime. Although we still have to find out what will happen to the anime since it went into an extended hiatus, the franchise is pushing forward with another major project. A new tease is dropping hints about some upcoming news connected to the live-action Netflix series!
The update comes from the official One Piece Twitter account which shared a new image featuring a photograph of a straw hat and Cape Town in South Africa. The caption then states that something is happening on March 28, 2022. Check it out below.
It's an interesting tease and one that is undoubtedly connected to the Netflix series. After all, the live-action adaptation is being filmed in South Africa and the straw hat looks like something that Monkey D. Luffy would wear.
But what exactly will we get next week? There are speculations that it might be a trailer for the One Piece live-action series. Realistically speaking, it might be too soon for a teaser but there is a chance we'll get to see some footage or a poster featuring the cast in full costume. Needless to say, we can't wait for the update next week.
The One Piece Twitter account had previously dropped a similar tease that led to speculations on an update on the anime after the release of the manga's latest chapter. However, it looks like the live-action series will get an update much sooner.
One Piece will also star Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji. The series has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
