One Piece Film: Red Blu-ray & DVD Confirmed
Toei Animation has confirmed that One Piece Film: Red will be available on Blu-ray and DVD.
It was announced on the official Twitter account of One Piece on February 12, 2023.
It is not uncommon for an anime film to be released on Blu-ray or DVD. It is one method of increasing sales, as each Blu-ray or DVD release is costly.
What's more, with every anime release comes piracy, which drastically reduces sales.
This is why producers are doing everything they can to boost sales by promoting Blu-ray and DVD releases in order to recoup production and distribution costs.
Besides that, each Blu-ray and DVD release includes bonus materials that entice die-hard fans to purchase them.
In the case of One Piece, all of its films have already been released on DVD and Blu-ray.
Fortunately, all of those releases topped Japan's DVD and Blu-ray charts, earning billions of yen in just a week of release.
Because One Piece Film: Red has been well-received in Japan, it is almost certain that the film will be released on DVD and Blu-ray too after its theatrical run around the world.

When Will One Piece Film: Red Be Released on Blu-ray and DVD?
One Piece Film: Red's Blu-ray and DVD were released on Crunchyroll's official store on July 11, 2023. In Japan, the film's Blu-ray and DVD were released on June 14, 2023.
For international regions, pre-orders for One Piece Film: Red's Blu-ray and DVD have now ended at Crunchyroll's official store.
The film's US home video release arrived on July 11, 2023, and comes with three special episodes, trailers, and web previews.
The three special episodes are as follows:
- A Faint Memory! Luffy and Red-Haired's Daughter Uta!
- A Pledge for the New Genesis! Luffy and Uta!
- The Captain's Log of the Legend! 'Red-Haired' Shanks!
In Japan, the film's Blu-ray and DVD were released on June 14, 2023. It is available in standard, limited, and deluxe limited editions.
The deluxe limited edition Blu-ray volume comes with a Taisen magnet, wristband, ring light, 16 postcards, a ballpoint pen, a sticker, and Uta no music, Den Den Mushi.
The limited edition Blu-ray volume comes with a ballpoint pen featuring Uta's sword, a sticker, and a bonus DVD with promotional videos and event footage.
On the other hand, the standard Blu-ray edition comes with the film's teaser and trailer.

Where to Buy One Piece Film: Red's Blu-ray and DVD
As stated above, One Piece Film: Red's Blu-ray and DVD are now available on Crunchyroll's official store. However, the pre-orders ended on May 30, 2023.
Also, One Piece Film: Red's Blu-ray and DVD volumes, like the other anime films, are available to purchase from Toei Animation's official distribution partners such as Tsutaya and Amazon Japan.
Following its release in Japan, One Piece Film: Red's Blu-ray and DVD are distributed internationally through partner stores such as Amazon, Walmart, and Barnes & Noble, to name a few.
