This may not be part of the upcoming live-action series, but many fans definitely want it to be. Recently, Kang the Conqueror actor Jonathan Majors appeared in a photoshoot with Ebony magazine, featuring an outfit that looks very much inspired by iconic One Piece villain Doflamingo.

While it’s not exactly a One Piece photoshoot, the stylist for the shoot confirmed that Majors’ outfits were inspired by Luffy and Doflamingo.

One Piece is a popular franchise with millions of fans within and outside Japan. Given its popularity, the show has lots of high-profile celebrities that consider themselves fans of Luffy and the crew.

Among the most well-known One Piece celebrity fans is Jamie Lee Curtis, the iconic “scream queen” of the late 70s to the 80s thanks to her roles in films such as Halloween and Prom Night.

Recently, she has gained much attention for her Oscar nomination for her role in Everything Everywhere All at Once.

She has also been talked about by One Piece fans as the perfect live-action Kureha for the Netflix show.

Another popular celebrity fan is Avril Lavigne, the singer whom every 2000s kid knows and loves.

Back in 2012, Avril contributed two songs to One Piece Film Z. It was noted that even series creator Eiichiro Oda is a fan of hers.

There are also pro sports players who are big One Piece fans, among them are Rudy Gobert and Steven Adams of the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Memphis Grizzlies, respectively.

While it’s not clear if Jonathan Majors is a big fan of One Piece himself, what we can say for certain is that the recent Ebony magazine photoshoot stylist Alexander-Julian Gibbson is a big fan.

After sharing the photoshoot on social media, many who saw the photos remarked how reminiscent Majors’ second outfit was to Doflamingo.

Shortly after these reactions, Gibbson confirmed via his TikTok that the outfits were indeed inspired by One Piece.

Specifically, the first is inspired by Luffy’s outfit from One Piece Film Z. Meanwhile, the second outfit is based on Doflamingo’s iconic pink coat, as many fans guessed.

Following this creative shoot, we might just see fans hope that Jonathan Majors will get cast in the next season of the live-action One Piece show. That is, of course, if the first season becomes a hit.
