OMEGA X and its now-former agency, Spire Entertainment, agreed to terminate the members' contract with the company months after the boy group won the lawsuit.

OMEGA X members officially announced on Monday that their agency would formally end the exclusive contract they had months after the abuse controversies emerged. In November, the 11 members of the boy group accused the Spire Entertainment CEO and his wife of abusing them in different ways.

OMEGA X, Spire Entertainment's Exclusive Contract Terminated

On OMEGA X's official Instagram account, which the members created after the abuse stories emerged, the boy group revealed that it reached an agreement with Spire Entertainment to terminate the exclusive contract and end all the disputes.

"After long and careful discussions with former agency Spire Entertainment, Omega X [and the agency] have mutually agreed to end its exclusive contract, and will make efforts to the development of K-pop on each party's positions," the statement read, as translated by Korea JoongAng Daily. The boy group has not confirmed its plans regarding new music or project. But it previously released Dream on April 24, and the band dedicated the track to its fans.

Before the recent agreement, OMEGA X members had already won the lawsuit in January, which officially suspended the validity of the members' exclusive contract with the agency.

OMEGA X Members Reveal Abuse They Suffered From

Before the group addressed the abuse controversies in a press conference, the heartbreaking events the K-pop idols experienced emerged when OMEGA X's flight back to South Korea after a Los Angeles concert got canceled.

SBS Entertainment News exclusively reported that Spire Entertainment CEO faced abuse claims that made him cancel the members' flight. A fan also shared on Twitter that they saw the CEO hitting the members; an audio recording also proved that the CEO's wife repeatedly hit the members while saying in Korean, "Who do you think you are?" and "You, stand up" repeatedly.

A man also spoke and warned people that they were about to collapse. A thud can be heard before someone clearly cried.
