Disney Korea released a photo challenging its followers to guess who will voice Ariel in the Little Mermaid Korean Dubbed film, with NewJeans Danielle's name appearing in most of the comments.
The official Instagram page of Disney Korea launched a game in which it challenged fans to guess who will voice Ariel in the Little Mermaid movie. The poster features a silhouette of a woman with a seemingly two-bun hairstyle.

Is NewJeans' Danielle Voicing Ariel?
Fans immediately commented that the girl on the poster is definitely NewJeans Danielle, as she always has space buns hair or dumpling hair.
They showed approval, although Disney Korea has not confirmed the woman's identity yet, saying that Danielle is a perfect match to voice Ariel's role.

A snippet of the alleged Korean dubbed version has been leaked online, leading fans to insist that the Hype Boy hitmaker is indeed part of the movie. However, upon hearing the audio, they offered mixed reactions due to NewJeans Danielle's pronunciation when speaking in Korean.
Among the comments read:
I think they chose her because they wanted someone with a youthful voice, but her singing is so bad, it makes you wish they had someone else sing the songs, which is most important… Then it makes (Disney’s) reason for choosing an idol obsolete.
Her pronunciation when speaking is awkward too, but it is worse when she sings. They should have used a voice-actor.
Her singing is fine, but her (pronunciation) when speaking her lines could be better.
NewJeans Danielle's Nationality
NewJeans Danielle was born in New South Wales, Australia, on April 11, 2005; her father is Australian, while her mother is Korean.
Although NewJeans Danielle was not born and raised in Korea, she can speak Korean and honed her communication skills even more when she started training in 2020.
The Korean-Australian member, whose real name is Mo Ji Hye, serves as the main dancer, lead vocalist, and the center of NewJeans.
