Old Man Logan Annual #1 Introduces Old Man Punisher

Two Marvel heavyweights have come together in Old Man Logan Annual #1. The first issue has confirmed that Frank Castle is very much alive and still eager to spill blood as Old Man Punisher. Watch out for major spoilers below.

The first volume of Old Man Logan Annual brings the aging antihero back to the Wastelands, which he learns is now overrun by a gang called The Punishers. The thugs all wear the Punisher's trademark logo but use it to terrorize other people. Logan tries to stop the group from stealing children but is gunned down, making him lose consciousness. When he comes to, he realizes that he has been saved by the aging Castle.

So how well does the team-up between Old Man Logan and Old Man Punisher work? It's certainly a pleasure seeing the two characters together. Castle might be a grumpy old man but he still has his astounding accuracy. Needless to say, this is a gritty volume that has fans wanting to see if other Marvel characters are secretly hiding out there in the Wastelands.

The synopsis for Old Man Logan Annual #1 reads as follows:

"Before he was trapped in the Marvel Universe, Logan was trapped in a post-apocalypse of his own making… The Wastelands. But he wasn't the only killer roaming a dead world… for the Punisher, it never stopped being a WAR ZONE."

The volume also features "a tale from the War Journal of Frank Castle."
