Oh Jung Se gave It’s Okay Not To Be Okayfans another reason to love him and his character, Moon Sang Tae.

It’s Okay Not To Be Okay scored people’s love and attention upon its release that it eventually became the most popular romance genre show on Netflix in 2020. The New York Times also recognized it as one of the Best International Shows of 2020.

The K-drama tells the story of a psych ward caretaker who lives with his autistic older brother. They frequently leave a town and relocate to another since the older brother witnessed the murder of their mother.

While working at the hospital, the caretaker meets a famous children’s book writer who reportedly has an antisocial personality disorder.

In the series, Oh Jung Se plays the role of Moon Sang Tae, the older brother of Kim Soo Hyun’s Moon Gang Tae. Through his role, he inspired one fan who he recently spent his time with as part of his promise.

Oh Jung Se Meets It’s Okay Not To Be Okay Fan

This week, Oh Jung Se reunited with the series’ fan, Bae Beom Joon. The South Korean cellist shared a photo of him holding hands with the actor as they spent time at an amusement park.

“‘Beom June, let’s go to the amusement park.’ Hyung and Beom June that finally met at the amusement park after social distancing orders were lifted. Sunday, yesterday. We went around all day holding hands. Hyung kept his promise, and Beom June protected hyung,” he captioned the post.

The fan is a cellist with a development disability, and he has since expressed his love toward Oh Jung Se and his character.

The reunion happened months after the actor mentioned Bae Beom Joon in his acceptance speech when he won the Best Supporting Actor for his role in It’s Okay Not To Be Okay at the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards.

At that time, Oh Jung Se expressed how hard the situation for everyone right now is due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He ended his statement by asking Bae Beom Joon to go to the amusement park again once the new season starts.

Oh Jung Se Previously Met Bae Beom Joon

Before their recent reunion, the actor already met the cellist at Lotte World in Seoul years ago.

Bae Beom Joon’s sister, Bae Ji Soo, revealed that her brother always watched It’s Okay Not To Be Okay since he wanted to comfort Moon Sang Tae. She added that he wanted to comfort the drama character whenever he cries in the drama.

After learning about this, Oh Jung Se’s agency agreed to meet Bae Beom Joon and fulfilled a fan’s dream.
