If there's one thing that fans are looking forward to in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, it would be the epic rematch between the Jedi Master and his former Padawan Anakin Skywalker. Luckily, it looks like the upcoming Star Wars show has a lot in store for its viewers. It has been revealed that Kenobi and Darth Vader are set to duel more than once in the highly-anticipated Disney+ drama!
There is little doubt that the idea of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader going up against each other is one of the most exciting things about the new series. Although one should be enough for most fans, it looks like the former friends will be reunited at least twice in the show. According to LRMOnline, Kenobi and Vader are set for "two epic battles against each other" that will reportedly "rank at the top" of all Star Wars duels.
This is an exciting idea considering that fans were ready for at least one action-packed reunion between Kenobi and Vader before their final duel in A New Hope. However, it looks like the series will be making sure that Hayden Christensen will be getting a lot of screentime later this May. With that in mind, there's a huge possibility that each of the six episodes will be packed with awesome scenes featuring the Star Wars legends.
Obi-Wan Kenobi is set 10 years after the events in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and follows the Jedi Master during his time living as a hermit on Tatooine. Although Kenobi has been hiding in the desert all this time, his life is far from peaceful as he continues to be pursued by the Galactic Empire.
The upcoming series will star Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Moses Ingram, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O'Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, Benny Safdie, Maya Erskine, and Rory Ross. Obi-Wan Kenobi premieres on Disney+ on May 25, 2022.
