Disney's decision to expand its content library via streaming is arguably the biggest gamble the House of Mouse has taken in recent memory but in the end, it proved to be largely beneficial especially for the Star Wars franchise which is currently seeing a resurgence of some sort thanks to the success of The Mandalorian. Now, it no longer comes as a surprise how Lucasfilm is capitalizing on the show's popularity and pretty much jumped the gun on several projects that will soon premiere on the hit streaming platform.
One of the offerings diehard fans are beyond eager to see is the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series which will see the grand comeback and small screen reunion of Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen. Picking up where Revenge of the Sith left off, the series will give us a better idea of how Obi-Wan and Anakin Skywalker embrace their respective destinies after Episode III.
We reported a few weeks back that Obi-Wan has already completed principal photography just in time for The Mandalorian Season 3 to start its production. However, Bespin Bulletin claims that the Ewan McGregor-led series has not wrapped filming contrary to the initial report from LRM Online.
Their trusted source notes though that the supporting cast members of the project have in fact finished filming their scenes and it's just Ewan and Hayden that need to do film additional scenes together. According to the report, McGregor was recently spotted in California where the project is currently filming but still, take this one with a huge grain of salt.

It'll be interesting to see how the rumored reshoots will affect the status of The Mandalorian Season 3. Obviously, the latter can't film simultaneously considering they're using the same StageCraft technology aka "The Volume" and I would assume that Lucasfilm only has one currently in existence.
No official release date for Obi-Wan has been announced.
