Obi-Wan Kenobi Director Continues Teasing 'More Stories to Tell' in Season 2

Obi-Wan Kenobi is coming to an end next week and fans are both excited and sad that the limited series is concluding so soon. However, viewers are not the only ones who aren't ready to say goodbye to the Star Wars show just yet. Director Deborah Chow seems eager to continue working on the Disney+ project and insists that there are "more stories to tell" in a possible Season 2!

It has already been confirmed that Obi-Wan Kenobi is a limited series and is unlikely to get a second season. Nevertheless, Deborah Chow has expressed her interest in continuing to work on more episodes featuring the Jedi Master.

"You know, we always did conceive of this as a limited series," Chow told RadioTimes. "So it's not an adventure-of-the-week sort of story. It's one big story with a beginning, middle and end. So I think this story was very much conceived to be its own standalone."

She then added, "I mean, there are, of course, more stories that you could tell." Chow pointed out that there is a whole period to explore before the events in Star Wars Episode IV.

"There's obviously another 10 years before we get to A New Hope and with a character like Obi-Wan Kenobi, I think even just watching him ride across the sand sometimes is interesting. So, who knows? It's hard to say right now, but it was not the intention," she said.

Although it is still unclear whether Obi-Wan Kenobi will be renewed for a second season, fans continue to hope that the story is far from over. With that in mind, we'll have to wait if Lucasfilm and Disney decide to greenlight Season 2.

The final episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi is titled Part VI and is set to premiere on Disney+ on June 22, 2022.
