Nintendo's ARMS Comic Book Delayed to 2019

Nintendo's ARMS has been one of the more successful original IPs for the Switch. While it is a bit gimmicky, the colorful fighters and fun gameplay have made the game an essential buy for those with a Switch. This is why fans were excited when Dark Horse announced graphic novels based on the game.

Unfortunately, it turns out fans have to wait until January 2019 to read these action-packed adventures.

Readers found out about this during the Free Comic Book Day issue that showcased ARMS, as well as Legend of Korra. After a short story that focused on Spring-Man, which everyone seemed to like, the ending revealed that the first graphic novel would be coming out in January 2019.

When the graphic novel was originally announced, it was set for a fall 2018 release date. No explanation was given as to why the graphic novel was delayed, so we will have to wait till we can see the misadventures of these fighters. At the time there was no creative team, though the FCBD issue was written by Sonic the Hedgehog writer Ian Flynn.

Apparently, the graphic novel will detail how Spring-Man takes on 600 foes. Obviously, some of them will be fighters from the game and it will be interesting to see how they are utilized.

The ARMS graphic novel comes out in January 2019. Switch owners can get the game right now.
