Nick Fury Series Rumored From Marvel Studios

Marvel may have been losing shows on Netflix, but the studio still has room in Disney's upcoming streaming service. Now, as Marvel TV loses its second show on Netflix, word has it that Marvel Studios may actually be producing a new series for Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury.

Earlier this month, Marvel announced that it would be producing two new television series for Disney's new streaming platform – one for Scarlet Witch and one for Loki with Elizabeth Olsen and Tom Hiddleston both set to reprise their roles as Wanda Maximoff and as Asgard's sly God of Mischief.

Now according to a new report by MCU Cosmic, rumor has started spreading saying that a third series is already in development at the studio, and word has it that the show will put the spotlight on Nick Fury. The series is said to accompany a fourth show for Disney's streaming site, however, the latter still remains much of a mystery.

Of course, as interesting as a Samuel L. Jackson-led television show sounds, fans should be reminded to take this new report with a grain of salt. Rumors remain rumors until we get official word from Marvel itself. It's possible that Marvel may be entertaining the idea of giving Nick Fury his own series on Disney's streaming site, but if development falls through, then the show may never really come to fruition.

Samuel L. Jackson is set to reprise his role as Nick Fury in Captain Marvel when it hits cinemas March 8, 2019.
