Fantastic Beasts 2 Final Trailer Forces Newt To Pick A Side

You have to feel for Newt Scamander. The guy just wants to hang out with a bunch of Fantastic Beasts but now he has to stop an international criminal from wreaking havoc. That seems to be the premise for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, the sequel to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

In the Fantastic Beasts 2 final trailer, Dumbledore goes to Newt himself and asks him to stop Grindelwald once and for all. Newt seems to be reluctant about this but decides to take part in it anyway since young Dumbledore looks too attached to his former friend. Thankfully, Newt won't have to do it alone since he still has his fantastic beasts (haha) and friends from the last movie.

We see Newt reunited with Porpentina Goldstein and Jacob Kowalski in various scenes, though one has to wonder why Kowalski has to make a return. His memory was wiped after the events of the first movie and he has no magic, so why Newt decides to drag him back is questionable. Then again, maybe he doesn't and its Grindelwald who gets involved this time.

Speaking of Grindelwald, he also has a big presence in the movie and seems to be relishing in his new found freedom, however that occurred. Credence also returns and it will be interesting to see how he's integrated into this story after almost being killed in the first film.

Lestrange is also seen in the trailer. She literally only appeared in a picture during the first film, so she will probably play a big part in the sequel. The character is played by Zoe Kravitz, whose image was used in the first film's picture, so it's good that they got her back for a much meatier role.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald looks like a great sequel and should please fans who enjoyed the first film. The film comes out on November 16.
