New Fantastic Beasts 2 Featurette Brings Magic Back To Hogwarts

Fans who have been hoping for a trip back to Harry Potter's alma mater are in for a treat. A new featurette for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is bringing everyone back to Hogwarts.

The featurette offers a behind-the-scenes look at Hogwarts during the early years before Harry Potter was even born. Lacock Abbey was used to stand in for the school and although it isn't as grand as Alnwick Castle, author J.K. Rowling is still happy to return to the educational institution.

"I loved going back to Hogwarts, of course, I did," said Rowling. "It looks very familiar to anyone who saw the Potter movies. But, obviously, the teaching staff are different."

The return to Hogwarts might be nostalgic for Rowling but it's a completely new experience for Jude Law. The actor who plays the young Albus Dumbledore admitted it was an amazing feeling to be part of the Harry Potter Universe.

"It was a slightly odd, out-of-body experience because I've watched, with everyone else, those classes. And suddenly to be in it, you're in there doing it, but then you look back at yourself and realize how special it was."

The Fantastic Beasts 2 featurette also has a brief scene where Dumbledore tells a teenaged Newt Scamander to use the Riddikulus spell on a Boggart.

The Crimes of Grindelwald will bring back Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Allison Sudol, Ezra Miller, and Johnny Depp. Zoe Kravitz joins the cast as Leta Lestrange, a character that briefly appeared in the first film.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will premiere on November 16.
