Newt Receives A Card From Paris In New Fantastic Beasts 2 Photo

The Harry Potter franchise found revitalization with the release of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and the sequel, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, is set to come out later this year. While the first movie had us coming to Wizard-America, this sequel promises to bring us back to Europe.

Like I said, the sequel promises to bring us to Europe—Paris, France to be exact. Though it's a whole new place, Newt will be joined by his gang from the first movie which includes the Goldstein sisters as well as Jacob the muggle/no-maj. Besides the return of Johnny Depp as Grindelwald, we'll also be meeting a young Albus Dumbledore in the form of Jude Law.

Though I'm interested to see more of this Wizarding world expand, I have a feeling that this movie could gravitate far away from the main story of Newt Scamander. Then again, I thought it would just be fun to make anthology movies in the Potter world a la Star Wars' Rogue One. The next film could have been Quidditch Through the Ages.

Here's the movie's synopsis:

Magizoologist Newt Scamander joins forces with young Albus Dumbledore to prevent the devious Gellert Grindelwald from raising pure-blood wizards to rule over all non-magical beings.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is set to come out Nov. 21.
